Alocasia like medium to bright indirect sunlight, direct sunlight will burn their leaves. Keeping their soil moist during the summer months and a good misting is important but allowing the soil to dry out slightly in the winter will help avoid root rot. Alocasia like to be slightly root bound so you should only need to re-pot once every couple years in the spring. Using a liquid fertilizer in the spring and summer will help your plant thrive during its growing season.
